AMAZING ADVENTURES OF TWO CURIOUS ALBINO FROGS - TUSHY AND PUSHY                                          

Tushy and Pushy - albino frogs, came to the fish tank right from the pet store. They were very small and pink - just like a nail on a child’s hand. The other inhabitants of the tank were many gold fish saved from a drying pond by the boy Peter.  They took care of the newcomers. The beautiful fish Mermaid patronized the albinos, and taught them how to swim and look for food. The big and wise fish Mr. Brown shared with Tushy and Pushy his memories about the Real World with its freedom, sun and sky and the beauty of flowers.

            Tushy was a very robust and active girl-frog. She quickly established herself as one of the tank’s bullies. But Pushy had a different nature. Meditative and curious, he was a shy and gentle boy-frog. He often pondered upon Mr. Brown’s tales and decided to do whatever it took to find the Real World the fish was talking about.

            He jumped out of the tank and hopped and hopped until he reached the Pond. He wanted so much to embrace the other frogs, free frogs that lived in the Pond. But the local bullfrogs were not eager to share his feelings. They even became hostile towards Pushy – just because he was not green and couldn’t say “rivet-rivet”.

            Luckily, a couple of local frogs had a pity on Pushy and taught him how to hide: he was too pink and too noticeable for birds and other animals who’d hunt him. But this Real World was not at all free for Pushy.  It wasn’t what the little frog imagined it would be. He wished he’d never left his aquarium, his sister, all the fish and boy who cared about him.

            Tushy, feeling also lonely without her brother, decided to go after him in the Real World. She hopped her way to the pond – only to join Pushy in his exile when they realized they couldn’t get back. They both missed their home tank and Peter terribly.

            It sounds sad. But do not despair: when, by the end of summer the pond dried up again and Peter went there to check on the creatures in trouble, he found his albino frogs and rescued them back to the tank.
